Scrappy Birthday Blog Hop!

I’m so happy you are joining us for the very first Scrappy Birthday Blog Hop celebrating April’s favorite color - GREEN! If you are coming from Jennifer's Blog, you’re on the right track. If you just joined us, you can go back to the beginning HERE and hop along with us. We’ve had so much fun doing this hop, and we have a wonderful line up with some oh-so-talented creators. You will see some lovely projects and have a chance to win some blog candy along the way, including a fun grand prize for this hop. This hop runs all day on April 30th, so you have plenty of time to check out each project!

Ok, first, before I show my project, I want to apologize! For those of you who regularly visit my blog, you will see I haven't blogged in a while. Last Tuesday I was admitted to the hospital for pancreatitus caused by gallstones. I ended up staying in the hospital for 5 days and at the end had to have surgery to have my gallbladder removed (they said I had over 150 stones in there!). Not fun! It's been a rough week trying to get back to my normal routine of things here at home. I planned on having a big project for this hop, but unfortunately, due to some unforeseen circumstances, that didn't happen. So I'm very sorry!

Now for my project:

For this project, I started to make a "Happy Birthday" paper bag album, but as you can see, I have finished the cover, but the rest just didn't get done in time! I used the Party Animal Pattern collection from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs for the turtle and the confetti & streamers. The paper I used is from Basic Grey's new line "Life of the Party." Since April likes Green, I tried to jam pack as much green into my project as I could and I thought the little turtle was the perfect finishing touch! And for those of you wanting to see the final finished product, I should have it completed and in my Etsy Shop by next week!

Hope you have a very Happy Birthday April!!! Thanks for letting me celebrate with you!

Fun With Acrylic!

Happy Saturday everyone! I've been quite busy this week with custom orders! I love doing custom orders because usually the buyer knows exactly what they want so it makes my job a little easier!

For this order, Christie wanted a hot pink and lime green acrylic album for her 17 year old daughter. I searched for the perfect paper and finally found it! I used paper from Basic Grey's Euphoria line.

I also used up some of my scraps from this album to make a card for the Little Scraps of Heaven Designs Design Team Friday Challenge. Our challenge was called "Playful Paws" and we were required to make something with "paws" including some sort of embossing. I used the Pink Poodle Pattern Set and embossed little hearts on the poodles pink puffs.

Thanks for stopping by!

Once Upon A Springtime

Well, I must admit, I'm not a big fan of vintage... BUT I did have fun with this line! I was not enthused at first to start an album because I unlike everyone else wasn't initially a huge fan of this paper. Once I started using it on my album, I began to like it a little more! Graphic 45 has some BEAUTIFUL paper lines out right now and they have made me really appreciate and have a new love for vintage designs on albums!

For this album I tried something a little different than usual. Now I did make one of these types of albums over Christmas, but haven't done one since then. I really like the cascading look, so I thought I would try it again on this album!

If you are interested in seeing more of this album, you can find it on ebay HERE.

Also, I wanted to share my Wednesday Design Team project for Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. I used some of my scraps from the album to make this adorable little card along with the LSHD Fairy Bears pattern set.

This little card can be found HERE in my etsy shop. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Happy Birthday!

Hello everyone! It seems like forever since I've blogged, sometimes I get busy and forget to post a blog with my projects. This weekend I really had an excuse! My family and I were quite busy, plus, the weather was REALLY nice so we spent some time outside!

On Sunday we all went to my nephew's 6th birthday party at a local skating rink. Wow, it's been ages since I've been on skates! The kids really showed me up! We all had a blast though!

Here is the birthday card that I made. Everyone loved it! I used the Little Scraps of Heaven Designs Party Animal Pattern set for this one! Too cute!

Here's a few pics of us from the weekend.

Crafty Clipboards!

Happy Friday all! Looking for a new project to try? I have a new love for altering clipboards!!! It's so much fun and they are soooo cute! These also make wonderful gifts, especially for teachers! Clipboards are also cheap, under $2 at Walmart!

These were all Design Team projects for Little Scraps of Heaven Designs and I wanted to share them here!

First is my project for today. I got on a kick this week with Disney so I made a few clipboards. I made this Disney Princess clipboard using the LSHD castle pattern and Belle from the Dress Me Like A Princess Pattern Set. The little dress tags were cut on my Cricut with the Happily Ever After cartridge.

For this clipboard I used Mickey & Minnie from the LSHD Clubhouse Gang Dress Up Pattern Set. The little tags were cut from my Cricut with Wrap it up and the mouse ears were cut from Mickey & Friends.

And lastly, this is one of my faves! I used the Close To My Heart Sonata line of paper for this clipboard. I also used a CTMH stamp for the sentiment. The little bear is the LSHD Harmony Bear Pattern.

You can find all of these clipboards in my etsy shop this week!

Springtime in Paris!

I'm so happy that it's April! That means we are 1 month closer to warmer weather! I love Spring, it's not too hot but it's not too cold, it's just right! I also love when the flowers start blooming this time of year! So pretty!

I've been working on this pretty little paper bag album for the past week and I finally got it how I wanted it! all of the flowers in this album were handmade by me.
