Technique Tuesday

I have been making these handmade gift bows for a while and just recently started making some to stock my Etsy store with. These are so simple to make and they are a beautiful finishing touch to any gift!

I ordered a tripod on ebay, so I should be youtubing tutorials myself soon, until then, enjoy the videos that I have found from other talented scrappers! I found this video on making handmade bows, I do mine a little differently, but this is a wonderful tutorial!

Thanks to Tina Mansfield from Cardiology Creations for this tutorial!

Fabulous Fall!

I FINALLY have a few Fall albums to show you! I've never been one for making fall items, though I love the colors and the feeling of Fall! I really got into it this year, so much that I made not one but two albums!

The first album I was determined to make. I got an awesome deal on the Heidi Grace fall paper when Joann's had their 5/$1 paper deal last month. I fell in love with this paper and couldn't wait to use it! I added lots of prima flowers, some 3-d embellishment sayings by k&co, and some matching rub-ons by Heidi Grace. The photo mats are made from bazzil bling cardstock and another glittered cardstock that I also got in the Joann's paper deal. Make sure you check out this album on eBay now by CLICKING HERE!

The second album that I have to show you is one of my favorites! I love the colors in this album! I have had this paper sitting on my shelf for a few years, but when it came out, I fell in love with it and knew I would use it someday! The paper is by Daisy D's. I filled this album with flowers to match the album, 2 of the flowers in this album are handmade paper flowers that I made out of matching paper from this line. I also made matching leaves for the flowers as well. You can find tutorials to make your own flowers and leaves in my Technique Tuesday posts. Lastly, I added some bling to this album to make it stand out, as you can see. If you want to see other pages from this album, make sure you CLICK HERE to see the full album listed in my ebay auctions.

Feature Friday

Today I'm going to do a feature from an etsy shop! I don't think enough people know how wonderful etsy is! It's a much cheaper place to shop and sell handmade items, ebay is great and widely known, but if I could, I would sell solely on etsy!

As I was searching through etsy looking at other paper artists, I came across the Paper Posey shop. I love love love her work!!! Her photos are beautiful and her wors is even more beautiful! The photo above is from her listing for this beautiful Christmas layout.

Make sure you visit the Paper Posey on etsy, and while you're there, also check out my shoppe, Create Serendipity!

ATG Anyone?

This morning while I was talking to Margaret, I convinced myself to order a Scotch ATG (Advanced Tape Gun). I've heard only good things about them and I cannot believe that as a scrapbooker I've gone this long without one! I think I got a pretty good deal too! I ordered the pink ATG that comes with 2 rolls of tape for $17.50! Everywhere else they ran around $30+. If you're interested in ordering one, check out A2Z Scrapbooking Supplies. If you have one of these, please leave a comment and let me know how you like it! I'm sure it will be a lot better than spending all of the $ on tape runners that I spend!!!

Technique Tuesday

As I was working on an album last night, I realized that I had the PERFECT tutorial for Technique Tuesday! A few months ago, my friend Elsa posted a tutorial on how to make paper leaves. Now I'm not really one to make my own embellishments, but buying prima flowers and leaves has gotten expensive and they don't always match my projects perfectly. So last night I attempted making my own! As you can see from the photo, my scrap area is a mess, but I have my own matching leaves and a few beautiful matching paper flowers for my project! Check out this video tutorial on how to make your own paper leaves! It's simple, you can make them out of your scraps, and they add a perfect finishing touch to your flowers!

Technique Tuesday!

Hello All! Technique Tuesday is a new segment that I am going to feature on my blog every week! Each week I will share a new technique, either from myself or from someone else. I hope you all enjoy it! I know I LOVE learning new techniques!

This weeks technique is all about paper flowers!!! I know if you're like me, you can't get enough of them! My only problem is that my flower addiction has gotten expensive! So this week I was thinking... why not learn to make my own? I ventured out and got a youtube account so I could subscribe to some of the talented artists that post videos on youtube (hopefully someday soon I will be one of them as well!), this week I came across an awesom tutorial on how to make paper flowers using your Cricut!!! Check it out!

Thanks to Kathy Orta @ Paper Phenomenon for this awesome tutorial! I can't wait to make some of these adorable flowers!

SCRAPtember!

Wow, November already???!!! Elsa from Just A Few Paper Designs said that we need a whole month where we do nothing but scrap, and we shall call it "Scraptember"! lol Well, it feel like it's been Scraptember this past week at my house! It always makes me feel good when I get a lot accomplished, but this past week has blown every other week of scrapping out of the water! I completed 9 paper bag albums and 1 8x8 custom Disney album (I didn't take photos of that one before I shipped it out... oops!)!!! I have been on a roll!!! Most of the albums were custom orders, but I did manage to get some new items listed on eBay this week. Hopefully I will have lots of new albums listed just in time for Christmas! Keep checking back regularly, lots of cool stuff is in store for Create Serendipity! Don't forget to become a fan on facebook http://www.facebook.com/CreateSerendipity07!

In the meantime, check out these custom albums that I just finished!
